Our practice nurses are available for routine health checks, vaccinations, cervical smears, routine blood tests, dressings, ear syringing, and can give advice on travel precautions etc.

They are highly qualified nurses who will sometimes be asked to triage a patient call to assess severity.

They also assist with the Diabetic Clinic and have had special training in treating patients with asthma.

Healthcare Assistants

Lynsey McDermott
Anne McCorquodale
June Rose

We also have Healthcare Assistants who carry out routine procedures such as taking blood, blood pressure and height & weight measurement.

They are also fully trained to administer flu vaccines.

If the doctor asks you to come for a blood test, this can be Monday to Thursday morning or up to 15:30 on Friday to ensure the samples get to the lab for testing.
